Founded in 2004, Norse Projects is a contemporary menswear label known for its signature brand of Scandinavian minimalism.
Many of Norse Projects’ designs are informed by nautical themes from the brand’s hometown of Copenhagen. I grew up next door to Seattle’s Fisherman’s Terminal and spent a lot of my youth on docks and fishing boats, so Norse collections have always felt very familiar to me. I knew highlighting the nautical elements was a must, and felt like the perfect place to shoot this collection was somewhere I knew well — Fisherman’s Terminal.
My goal was to take pieces from this collection and pair them with complimentary backdrops from the fishing boats, ropes, and gear found throughout Fisherman’s Terminal. Not only would this provide a fantastic visual, but I felt the weathered beauty of the fishing vessels was the perfect pairing for the workwear-inspired pieces that Blue Owl had received.
Our gloomy Pacific Northwest weather lent itself perfectly to Norse’s Fall/Winter collection, with pieces like the Willum Down Jacket being major standouts.
Used throughout Blue Owl’s website, social media, and email marketing.
