Founded in 2012, John Elliott’s namesake label was created with a mission to perfect men’s wardrobe essentials. Over the last decade, the brand has become one of the prominent names in contemporary men’s fashion thanks to its signature sportswear-inspired design that feels right at home in Elliott’s hometown of Los Angeles.

When the brand debuted at Blue Owl, I knew I wanted to showcase the full range of John Elliott’s offerings in an urban landscape setting similar to the downtown Los Angeles neighborhood where the clothes were manufactured. I knew a key part of the campaign would be to play up the brand’s sportswear roots, so we kicked off the editorial at a basketball court right in the heart of Seattle’s Chinatown district.

The collection featured a number of John Elliott’s signature distressed items, which I felt lent themselves well to the backdrop of one of Seattle’s most historic neighborhoods. Weathered walls, alleyways, and tunnels were all key set pieces throughout the shoot.

Used throughout Blue Owl’s website, social media, and email marketing.
